In short

My October 2026 reviews of AI courses, tools and free webinars, including what I bought, refunded, tested and would consider again.

I spent $300 on a storytelling challenge instead of a birthday celebration. A few weeks later, I bought a $1,995 AI side hustle course and asked for a refund within a day. Those two decisions taught me more about choosing what to learn than another list of course features would have.

This is my October 2026 account of the courses, tools, communities and free webinars I tried while building brisk. Prices are what I paid or saw then, not current quotes. I mark the products I did not buy, the course I refunded and the links that earn me a commission.

Which purchases were worth it for me?

  • Jun Yuh's storytelling challenge: Worth the $300 I paid. The daily structure and community made me practise a skill I had avoided.
  • Iman Gadzhi's AI side hustle course: I paid $1,995, requested a refund within a day and received it. I did not complete the course.
  • Saba's Unstuck Academy: I recommended the community at the €17 monthly price shown in October 2026, especially for its video project files.
  • Flipscript: I paid $47 for lifetime access. Its transcript and first script draft made my saved reels useful.
  • Muzecast: I paid $129 for lifetime access. It made sense for my AI avatar work, while video credits remained a separate cost.

The rest of this review includes a newsletter, a beta tool and two free webinars. They are useful options, but my experience with them is different from completing a paid course.

Why did Jun Yuh's storytelling challenge work for me?

I joined Jun's free webinars first. He explained his story structure and shared examples before asking anyone to pay. I then paid $300 for a challenge built around posting for 21 consecutive days in a community, with a daily breakdown to follow.

Talking to a camera and editing were hard for me. The value was the push to practise, plus the organised material I could return to. Much of Jun's teaching was also available free on his Instagram profile, so the paid version made sense because I wanted structure, not secret information.

Why did I refund the AI side hustle course?

I joined several of Iman Gadzhi's free webinars, then bought the $1,995 program during its launch. I hoped it would explain how to sell digital products without an existing audience. After entering the community, I found a distribution approach centred on advertising other people's products, which was not the answer I had hoped to learn.

I also disliked the sales process and did not want to continue. I asked for a refund within 24 hours and received it. I did not complete the training videos, so this is my account of the launch and the material I saw inside, not a full assessment of every lesson.

What did I think of Saba's community and the two creator tools?

Saba's Unstuck Academy included a video workflow and its project files when I reviewed it. At the €17 monthly price shown then, I thought the practical files made it worth considering for someone who wants to produce or edit videos. Check the current offer before joining.

Flipscript transcribes a reel and drafts a new script from its structure. I found the first pass useful, but it also changed facts and tools in one of my examples. My full saved-reels workflow shows why I now give it tighter instructions and review the result before recording.

I paid $47 for Flipscript lifetime access. The link above is an affiliate link, so I earn a commission if you buy through it, at no extra cost to you.

Muzecast brings scripts, avatars and AI voices into one video workflow. I paid $129 for lifetime access. The software access lasts, but video generation uses credits or another connected service, so I would only consider it if avatars are a regular part of your content work. The Muzecast link is also an affiliate link, and I earn a commission if you buy through it at no extra cost to you.

What did I recommend without buying a course?

I read Joseph Mavericks' Productive With AI newsletter before recommending it. The linked offer gave my readers a discount on an annual membership at the time of publication. I receive no commission from it; check the current offer before subscribing.

Datum was in free beta when I reviewed it. It keeps confirmed business facts in one place so an AI assistant can check them before using an outdated price or offer. I tested it with a long article draft and learned that its strict checks suited business facts better than broad editorial judgement. My verdict was to test it against a narrow use case, not to assume it will approve everything an AI writes.

I attended free webinars by Pietro Montaldo, and by Magali De Reu with Lara Acosta. I found both useful and liked their teaching. I had not taken their paid programs when I wrote the Substack article, so my recommendation covers the free sessions only.

How should you decide what to buy next?

Pick the skill or production problem you need to solve now. A free webinar can show whether a teacher explains things clearly. A paid challenge can be worth it when you need deadlines and practice, while a tool can be worth it when it removes a repeated step you already do.

My verdicts are snapshots of my own use in October 2026. I cannot tell you what will pay off for your business or whether today's prices and features match what I saw. The full Substack article has the longer stories, screenshots and the original scorecard.
